About the role

This is an opportunity for Craft CMS developers who may be a good fit for Bright Labs now or in the future.

Depending on your experience, the role may suit a mid-level developer, senior developer or technically strong front-end developer with Craft CMS experience.

You will work with producers, designers, technical leads and other developers to plan, build, maintain and improve Craft CMS websites and digital platforms.

You may be involved in:

• Building Craft CMS websites and custom content structures
• Developing front-end templates and component-based interfaces
• Working with Twig, Laravel, PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Integrating Craft CMS with third-party systems
• Supporting Craft Commerce, where relevant
• Improving performance, accessibility and maintainability
• Supporting CMS upgrades, plugin updates and platform improvements
• Troubleshooting bugs and technical issues
• Working with designers and producers to deliver practical, high-quality outcomes
• Contributing to estimates, technical planning and documentation
• Helping improve development standards, patterns and workflows

What we are looking for

You do not need to match every item, but strong candidates will usually have experience with several of the following:

• Commercial Craft CMS experience
• Strong front-end development skills
• Experience with Twig templating
• Experience with Laravel
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experience with PHP and modern CMS development
• Understanding of component-based front-end development
• Experience working with Git
• Comfort working with local development environments
• Understanding of performance, accessibility and SEO fundamentals
• Experience integrating APIs or third-party services
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code
• Good communication skills
• A collaborative approach to working with designers, producers and developers
• Care for quality, detail and long-term maintainability

Salary

Competitive salary package, commensurate with experience. We are open to mid-level and senior Craft CMS developers, so compensation will depend on experience, capability and role fit. Indicative salary range available during the first conversation.
