Accessible and sustainable web development
I'm a freelance web developer and Craft CMS partner from Berlin. I care deeply about usability, sustainability, and accessibility. My focuses are NGOs, parties, political groups, the public sector, and companies with the need for public communication. I'm working full-stack from start to finish: concept, design, and technical implementation of front-end and back-end.
Independent Craft CMS developer and digital consultant
I started as a designer, spent most of my career agency side as a producer and production lead, then ran digital client side as Head of Digital for a large Australian home builder. Now I'm an independent Craft CMS developer and digital consultant in Melbourne, working with clients anywhere.Craft is the platform I know best. Leading production at a Melbourne agency, I made the case for Craft as its standard platform, chose it, and set up the training, standards and automated deployments the team built on. My own site runs on it.I take over Craft sites from other developers, design and build new ones, upgrade older sites to Craft 5, and host them. Most of a build goes into the content model, so editors can use the site properly and it's still easy to change years later. I work with businesses, not for profits and agencies. You deal with me from the first call to the finished work; for larger builds I bring in senior Craft developers I've worked with and stay the lead. Most of my Craft work is covered by NDAs, so it isn't shown here. I'm happy to talk through relevant projects on a call.
Full-Stack Developer · Agency Dev Partner
I’m a full-stack web developer based in Northampton, MA. I built my first website at 13 (a Sailor Moon fan site) and had paying clients by 14. That was 30 years ago. Craft CMS is my favorite platform by far. I love that it lets me build content models around what a client actually needs, giving editors a CMS they don’t have to fight tooth and nail. I’ve also shipped commercial projects in WordPress, Drupal, Shopify, ExpressionEngine, Squarespace, and Joomla.I work directly with clients and as a development partner for agencies and designers. That covers front-end builds, CMS architecture, hosting, and the DNS and vendor wrangling that comes with launches. Either way, I want every site I build to center on human connection.I grew up in Oklahoma, went to grad school in NYC, and now live in a little blue house in western Mass.
