Experienced "Full Stack" Craft Developer - Local or Remote REMOTECONTRACT

Job Description

We are a full service digital agency located in the Inland Northwest of the U.S. Our creative department builds brands and specializes in custom website design & development. We would love to have a truly “Full Stack” Developer, but the term is quite subjective. We need someone who is great with both Front-end and Back-end development.

We're looking for a developer who is passionate and proud of their work with the ability to troubleshoot and find creative workarounds when necessary. We have a local full-time position available, but work with freelancers on a per project basis as well. CraftCMS is installed on all our client websites, so mastery of Craft and its plugins is important.

Clear and consistent communication is critical to our team. Though you’ll report mainly to the Creative Director, you'll be working with the marketing team, and other developers as well. Communication is of great importance to us. Also, your accessibility during set work hours will be highly appreciated and counted on.

We are a very passionate team, devoted to creating websites of the highest caliber. We don’t cut corners and firmly believe in transparency within the team and with our clients. Each of us have our strengths and truly love what we get to do everyday. Great developers are rare, but we know you're out there. The position is available immediately and we’ll be setting up video interviews as soon as possible.

A few things that should be a part of your skill set.

  • Produce clean and organized code,
  • Experience and implementation of advanced level HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, and JQuery.
  • Convert designs into code and onto a staging environment.
  • A complete understanding of CraftCMS and your preferred set of plugins.
  • Install CraftCMS onto any site.
  • Fundamental knowledge of SEO and what gets done during development before handoff.
  • Incorporate Google best practices into your development.
  • High level Responsive design, testing on mobile devices, and troubleshoot.
  • Use of Git version control.
  • Accurate timelines and meet deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge and use of Google Search Console and Analytics.
  • Knowledge and experience with SQL, Bootstrap, and Ajax.
  • High level of communication.
  • Server backup implementation and recovery plan.
  • Knowledge of using Digital Ocean.

Some skills and qualities we would love for you to have. (not required)

Mobile first approach, Structured Data Markups, Google Tag Manager, Alt attribute implementation, Use of Canonical URL’s, Innovation and improvement in coding and workflow, Not biased toward a specific platform or technology, Site speed and performance, Basic experience with Adobe Photoshop, Debugging experience across major browsers., Experience keeping Javascript code modular and loosely coupled., ExpressionEngine experience.
