Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Front-End Developer with experience collaborating within a team environment while bringing complex designs to life. We need an individual with strong front-end experience, that is detail-oriented, a good self-manager and that can adapt to our coding practices. Responsibilities include strategizing and developing websites/apps within the Sports, Economic Development, Higher Education and other industries. You will be working in collaboration with the team to develop, build and support the websites we create together.

Long and short, we want to bring someone in who’s looking to build incredible digital experiences while enjoying their work life. We’re here to have fun, but take our projects seriously as we look to make the web a better place. Regardless of your job title, we encourage suggestions from all team members on ways to work more efficiently and do things better. Responsibilities

• Use a variety of programming languages in order to create user-friendly web pages
• Writing elegant, scalable, readable and commented code
• Ensure the technical feasibility of visual designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed, scalability and accessibility
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Awareness of latest industry standards and web trends
• Maintain and improve existing front-end code

Skills And Qualifications

• Proficient understanding of semantic web markup, including HTML, CSS and Javascript
• Intermediate level of Javascript and knowledge of React / Next.js
• Proficient understanding of PHP with an emphasis on Craft CMS and Wordpress
• Knowledge of front-end templating languages like Twig, Liquid or Blade
• Build systems such as Gulp or Webpack
• Knowledge of package managers including NPM and Composer
• Interacting with APIs
• Must be comfortable communicating within Slack, Zoom and Basecamp
