The Team You’ll Work With

As the Senior Web Developer at Fireclay Tile you will work directly with an innovative eCommerce + Marketing team to optimize the site experience for client engagement and conversion. You will also partner with a tech agency and 3rd party solution providers to institute new site functions and ensure we’re using the most revolutionary technologies to support our evolving business needs.

The Problems You’ll Solve

We are looking for an individual with eCommerce development experience that is self-motivated and passionate about breaking new ground in how to inspire and engage clients online. This person will also be excited about opportunity discovery and developing strategic plans to work through.

  • Lead web improvements, new development applications, integrations, testing and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system or interface failures and issues by reviewing and updating code.
  • Assist in optimizing CMS (Craft) for internal user efficiencies and accuracy.
  • Ensure data integrity and accurate flow of information to Salesforce.
  • Build experiences that optimize the mobile site journey.
  • Be the source of knowledge for new technologies and partnerships that would grow our e-commerce business.
  • Work with our outside tech-solution agency on large-scale web projects to optimize user experience and add new functionalities to the site.
  • Partner with the Marketing team to ensure the web experience delivers on new product launches and merchandising needs.
  • Deliver clean code and work to remove legacy code that negatively impacts site speed.
  • Assist in optimizing technical SEO fixes.
  • Contribute ideas and input to all web projects and roadmaps.
  • Conduct impact analysis of modifications and changes to existing systems and corresponding interfaces.
  • Analyze, install and test new releases to application software.
  • Documents new processes and develops functional and technical specifications.
  • Apply fixes or work-a-rounds to vendor software or interfaces as needed.

About You

You have eCommerce development experience and want to apply your knowledge and talent to a hyper-growth focused company looking to build a first-in-class online UX. You flourish in creative + results driven environments and find collaboration key to success.

  • Minimum 5 years working as a web developer on an eCommerce site.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering; equivalent related work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Have advanced knowledge programming languages like Javascript, HTML, CSS & SQL
  • Have advanced knowledge of web content management systems - Craft CMS a plus
  • Have familiarity with dev ops
  • Have experience with G Suite, Dropbox or similar file storage systems; experience with project management tools such as Asana a plus
  • Are nimble and can re-prioritize quickly.
  • Are a self-motivated individual who can complete complex tasks
  • Can problem solve, support, and collaborate with other team members effectively
  • Have strong time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Have a meticulous eye for detail
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills, especially with an ability to define complex technical issues in layman’s terms.
