Work With Craft

Pixel & Tonic, the team behind Craft CMS, is looking for an experienced Technical Writer. The ideal candidate is someone who can communicate complex information clearly, concisely, and accurately. As a technical writer at Pixel & Tonic, your role will involve writing documentation, technical guides, and tutorials, as well as reading and writing example code. This position requires someone who is self-motivated, organized, and enjoys some level of content strategy, in addition to writing. Experience developing and using Craft CMS is preferred.

This position is an integral part of our plans to improve Craft CMS docs and educational resources. In addition to excellent written skills, we look for a candidate that has great verbal communication skills, is friendly, and has a good sense of humor. At Pixel & Tonic, we work hard to create software that developers love using, but we like to have fun while we do it!

To succeed in this role you should have the following skills and experience:

• Professional experience as a technical writer in the software and technology field
• Strong writing skills with an emphasis on proper grammar, spelling, and composition
• The ability to create from scratch as well as revise existing documentation, guides, and articles
• Proven ability to translate technical and development processes into easily understood documentation, guides, and articles
• Self-motivated and can work independently
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers
• Ability to analyze complex problems and present solutions
• Web development experience
• Experience with Craft CMS and Craft Commerce is preferred
