Mid-Level Web Developer

Pennebaker, a leading Houston-based strategic branding agency, seeks a Mid-Level Web Developer with strong problem solving skills, and a desire to grow into a senior role within the development team.

You will work alongside our web design and development teams, focusing on frontend development and existing site changes for a major client. You will be responsible for the majority of development of new features, frontend changes, and assisting their internal technical staff with hosting and launch processes.

Duties

• Front-end web development

• Craft CMS configuration & building

• Content migration

• API integrations

• Provide estimates for features

• Automated cross-browser testing

• Work with client IT department to manage Linux environment

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has all of this, but we understand web development is a diverse field. The role is around a 65/35 frontend/backend split, using Craft CMS and a modern frontend stack. If you’ve got what it takes, we want to see your résumé and GitHub profile.

Core Qualifications

• 5+ years professional development experience

• HTML5/CSS3 (SCSS)

• Mobile-first frontend development

• Javascript/ES6

• Vue.js/React/Node.js

• PHP 7.x

• MySQL/PostgreSQL

• Git version control

Experience With

• Craft CMS

• Custom module development

• Ubuntu/Debian server devops

• Content management systems (excluding WP)

• CI/CD pipeline management
